Directions to Iron Mountain Inn and Creekside Chalet from the Tri-Cities Airport:

Turn right out of the airport parking areas/terminal.
You are on state route 75. Continue for 5.3 miles to state route 126 (a T) - there is an Appco Gas station on corner.
Turn RIGHT and go 4/10 of a mile to a road, which slants off to the right Go to light and turn right onto 394. (If you miss the slant, go to the light at 394 and turn RIGHT).
Go 4.1 miles to 11W/E (Volunteer Parkway/Bristol Highway).
Enter ramp and continue on 11E for 3.4 miles to 19E which is a left turn off the highway (start getting into left lane after Egypt Road).
Go 8.1 miles to the first light ( Broad Street - Food City on far right corner)
Continue straight ahead on 19E/321/67 to the Shell Gas Station in Hampton (about 5 miles ahead).
Turn LEFT at the Shell Gas Station CHECK YOUR MILEAGE Your next turn is 15.1 miles up 67 around Watauga Lake (321 has turned off toward Boone).
At 15.1 miles turn LEFT onto Pine Orchard Road.
Go 1.6 miles to Moreland Drive (junky cars on left).
Turn LEFT and go about 2/10 of mile to the Inn driveway on RIGHT.
Turn into driveway and go to the top of the mountain! You have arrived!

Directions to the Lakeside Cottage from the Tri-Cities Airport:

Turn left onto Piercetown Road and go 1.5 miles (at the fork, bear right) to 1035 Piercetown Road. The Lakeside Cottage is a white house with gravel circular driveway and a porte cochere on the left.

From Charlotte Airport to Iron Mountain Inn and Creekside Chalet:

Take 321 into Boone, NC. At the junction of 321 and 421, take 421 into Mountain City. At the 4th light (route 67 - Rite Aid Pharmacy on corner), turn left and go 13 miles down route 67 to Pine Orchard Road. (Just past Watson's Grocery store). Then follow directions above.

From Charlotte Airport to Lakeside Cottage:

Take 321 into Boone, NC. At the junction of 321 and 421, take 421 into Mountain City. At the 4th light (route 67 - Rite Aid Pharmacy on corner), turn left and go 15 miles to Butler center. Turn right onto Piercetown Road follow above directions.

From Asheville/Atlanta/points south:

Take I-26 to exit 31 in Tennessee (Elizabethton). At the end of the ramp, turn right onto 321/67. Follow through Elizabethton to junction with Shell station in the middle.
Stay to the right and go through the old part of town, passing the covered bridge and the monument in the middle of the road.
At the T, turn right onto 321/67/19E.
Go 4.5 miles to another Shell Station. Turn left.
CHECK YOUR MILEAGE. Your next turn is about 13 miles up 67 around Watauga Lake to Piercetown Road.

Take 78 from the Holland Tunnel to 81 south.
Continue on 81S through the Shenandoah Valley to exit 29 in Virginia. At the end of the ramp, turn Left onto route 91.
Continue on 91 through Damascus ( Trail Town USA) to Mountain City, TN.
At the light at the Farmer's State Bank, turn right, go through town to the light at the Rite Aid Pharmacy.
Continue straight for 13 miles to Pine Orchard Road (just past Watson's Grocery) on right.
Turn right and go 1.5 miles to Moreland Drive on Left (junky cars)
Turn left and go to the gravel driveway for the Iron Mountain Inn and Creekside Chalet.
